Member Trip to Mexico City | Feb. 3-7

EarlyWork is going to Mexico City!

For our first member trip we are heading to Mexico City, Mexico, Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7, 2025 on the occasion of the Zona Maco and Material art fairs.

While in Mexico City Participants will have the opportunity to explore art galleries, go on studio visits, attend exclusive art fair previews, and engage with local artists and curators, gaining unique insights into the contemporary art landscape of Mexico. We'll also indulge in delicious food through unique culinary experiences and intimate dining opportunities.

This carefully curated journey promises an immersive experience, blending the vibrant art scene of Mexico City with the cultural richness and historical depth of the dynamic city.

With a focus on fostering meaningful connections and cultural exchange, this inaugural trip to Mexico City is designed to deepen your appreciation of art and expand your horizons. We are so excited to expand our programming through travel and look taking this exciting adventure together, creating unforgettable memories and forging lasting relationships within the EarlyWork network.

Take a lunchtime market stroll through one of Mexico City’s infamous gems, Mercado de la Merced, with Chef Carlos Gaytan, a gastronomical visionary known for combining the colorful flavors of Mexico and techniques of French haute cuisine. Divided into 7 zones, Mercado de la Merced is Mexico City’s largest and oldest food market, giving visitors a peek into the culture of Mexico’s rich and influential gastronomy. Eat a light breakfast so you have room for all of the tasty market bites!

Whether you find yourself in the West Town area of Chicago or the vibrant streets of Mexico City, Mariane Ibrahim offers a refined art experience that highlights both established and emerging artists, particularly those from the African Diaspora. Members of EarlyWork will have the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive tour of the gallery's Mexico City location, followed by lunch at Panuco 36, the gallery's on-site restaurant that specializes in Mexican cuisine infused with Mediterranean influences.

FAREWELL DINNER
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6 | 8:30 PM 
We plan to do our sendoff in style! EarlyWork members will come together to enjoy a final meal before returning home. In the midst of a delicious menu and drink pairing, members can reflect on their experience in Mexico City and say farewell to their fellow community members.
